Americans have been fascinated with the British royals for the last 150 years +. I think it's fair to say that the American people are quite fond of the royal family.
We are fascinate and obsessed with fairy tales. The British royal family represents a real life fantasy, one that people can follow and live out vicariously so to speak.
Reasons why the Americans are so in love with the Royal Family:

- Obsession with "Celebrities"
- Canada is so close to the States
- There is a human element to it
- You've watched them grow up
- America's relationship with the U.K.
What ever your reasoning is to love the Royal family, I do know Princess Diana is shining down on her two boys and nothing will ever take her love and heart from William and Harry.
